Occupational Personality Questionnaire

Helping businesses to make the best possible decisions on their human capital
Albedis uses SHL's Occupational Personality Questionnaire (OPQ32), the world's most widely-used behavioural style assessment tool. It is specifically designed to provide businesses with information on behavioural traits that will affect the person's performance in the workplace. The questionnaire is respected the world over as an extremely accurate assessment technique.
OPQ32 is used mainly for selection, assessment and career guidance processes. It maps preferred individual behaviours on 32 personality scales, or dimensions.
Drawing on the extensive experience of our consultants and our applicants' OPQ32 results, we will help you to make the best possible human resources decisions, by assessing how candidates are likely to perform in the role, minimising the risk of recruiting the wrong person and maximising the benefits from personal development programmes.
Why is personality assessment so important?
Businesses today have much to gain from including personality assessment in the staff selection process. The impact of an individual's personality on their work performance has been proven beyond doubt, and the assessment techniques now available make the process fast, reliable and accurate.
Why assess a potential employee's personality?
The key benefit is to identify an individual's performance potential, as modelled by their personality traits. Other selection techniques, such as the job interview, do not allow measurement of this impact.
The process also gives you valuable information ahead of the interview, highlighting aspects that need to be examined in greater detail.
You have a behavioural profile of the applicant before the recruitment decision is made, indicating their teamwork skills or leadership style.
And last but not least are the time and money you save by assessing the person's skills before the selection process even begins.
What makes OPQ32 so special?
Specifically designed for businesses
Most other personality questionnaires were developed from theories generated by clinical psychologists, and have been tested on groups of students. In contrast, OPQ32 was developed specifically for use by business firms.
Multi-facetted assessment
The questionnaire covers a wide and varied range of personality dimensions impacting on work performance.
Proven reliability
OPQ32 has now been in use for over 25 years, and its reliability, relevance and validity have been fully confirmed by international in-depth research studies. Detailed statistics and validation data can be made available to users on request.
Easy to use
There is no specialist terminology, and no personality traits that are not relevant to the workplace. The reports generated from OPQ32 analyses are easy to understand and use, for psychologists, HR professionals and operational managers.
Unequalled reputation in the marketplace
The OPQ32 questionnaire has been used all over the world for more than 20 years. On the basis of years of R&D input and its practical application across all market sectors, it is now the unchallenged leader in the area of behavioural style assessment.
