Yves Schneuwly: A Bridge Builder in the Digital Age

Since April 2025, Yves Schneuwly has held the position of Chief Digital & Marketing Officer at Interiman Group. A role perfectly suited to someone whose career is shaped by a passion for elite sports and a pragmatic vision of the digital world.

We meet him in Renens, at the headquarters of Interiman Group. Though we could just as easily have crossed paths in any city or region across the language divide. Born in German-speaking Switzerland, Yves Schneuwly now divides his time between the cantons of Basel-Land and Vaud, frequently travelling throughout the country. French has become his everyday language, thanks to his wife. This linguistic closeness extends into his professional life at a company founded and deeply rooted in French-speaking Switzerland.

“Switzerland functions as a whole, despite its differences. It takes presence, attentiveness, and a constant eye on local dynamics”, explains the Chief Digital & Marketing Officer of Switzerland’s leading permanent and temporary staffing group.

A Human-Centred Approach

Before joining Interiman Group, Yves Schneuwly followed an unconventional path. He began in elite sports, playing basketball in the Swiss National League A while studying sports science in Basel. After university, he began his career with temporary assignments, eventually transitioning into consulting. It was at Universum, a Swedish company specialising in employer branding, where he built the foundation of his career. There, he progressed from business development to country manager for Switzerland, and later took over as regional director for Central and Eastern Europe. Along the way, he earned an MBA.

In 2019, he was appointed Managing Director of Xing for Switzerland and Austria, where he oversaw both B2C and B2B operations, with a strong focus on digital recruitment. In just 18 months, he doubled the company’s revenue. He then joined Coople, initially as Managing Director for Switzerland and later as Chief Commercial Officer, adding the UK market to his responsibilities. During the pandemic, he quickly adapted the company’s offering to meet shifting demands, especially in e-commerce and healthcare. The outcome: tripled turnover and a profitable Swiss business.

These experiences cemented a belief that Yves had been forming over time: technology can be a powerful tool in human resources, but only when it serves people. At Interiman Group, his mission is to reinforce the way technological efficiency supports human capital, in keeping with the humanist values that have long defined the company. With twelve specialised brands and nearly a million applications processed each year, the group operates at a scale that demands innovation. But for Yves, it’s not about adding more tools, it’s about rethinking systems to create value where it matters most. “Our industry moves fast. To stay relevant, we have to adapt without losing our connection to people,” he says. For him, the group’s family-owned structure is a clear advantage: “We’re a major player, but we can make strategic decisions quickly. That’s a real strength.”

Anticipating Change Rather Than Reacting to It

At Interiman Group, his role is to help build a fully integrated digital culture. He approaches this task as a momentum to be created, carefully guiding the evolution of work methods, team adaptation, and coordination across the group’s brands to ensure alignment. “Specialisation is one of our strengths and part of the group’s DNA,” he notes. “But it also requires coherence. Without it, you lose efficiency.”

Deeply attuned to what’s happening on the ground, Yves insists on the importance of understanding local dynamics. In his view, success comes from knowing the networks, stakeholders, and regional practices inside out. “You don’t build a national presence from behind a desk. You have to get out there, meet people, understand local issues, and build strong connections.” This belief is reflected in his professional commitments: as a board member of SwissStaffing and a member of the joint committee for the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) governing staff leasing, he keeps a close watch on regulatory developments and contributes directly to negotiations between social partners. “It’s a way of staying close to the realities and dynamics of the industry and to anticipate changes rather than reacting to them.”

At Interiman Group, his roadmap is clearly defined: accelerate growth, structure digital tools and expand the group’s presence in German-speaking Switzerland, where growth potential remains strong. Traditionally led from French-speaking part of the country, the group’s leadership has entrusted Yves with this expansion, confident in his ability to unite teams around an agile, action-oriented corporate culture.
