Job description
Operating at the intersection of commercial development, strategic partnerships and corporate development, you will combine entrepreneurial thinking with disciplined deal execution to unlock sustainable growth across established and emerging markets.
- Drive international market expansion initiatives from strategic assessment through commercial execution.
- Identify, evaluate and engage prospective partners, operators, investors and strategic stakeholders.
- Develop and execute market-entry strategies across existing and new markets.
- Build a robust international opportunity pipeline through proactive market assessment and relationship development.
- Structure, negotiate and conclude complex commercial agreements and long-term partnership arrangements.
- Drive sustainable value creation through strategic partnerships, market-entry initiatives and transformational commercial opportunities.
- Partner closely with internal M&A specialists on investment and divestment assessments, transaction preparation and commercial due diligence.
- Assess strategic fit, commercial attractiveness and long-term value creation potential of prospective opportunities.
- Build and maintain long-term executive-level relationships with external partners and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross-functional and cross-cultural deal teams across multiple international markets and business functions.
- Monitor industry developments, competitive activity and market trends to identify future growth opportunities.
Expected profile
Experience & Capabilities
- Demonstrated success gained over approximately 10-15+ years within strategic partnerships, market expansion, business development, licensing, corporate development, M&A or other commercially complex and strategic environments.
- Proven track record of independently leading complex commercial negotiations and strategic growth initiatives.
- Strong understanding of value creation, partnership structures, commercial business models and market development.
- Experience supporting acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures or strategic transactions is highly advantageous.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience evaluating business cases and commercial opportunities.
- Outstanding stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities.
- International mindset and ability to operate successfully across multiple cultures and business environments.
- Success in this role requires commercial curiosity, entrepreneurial thinking and the ability to develop long-term partnerships across diverse markets and cultures.
- Fluent English is required; additional languages represent a strong advantage.
Education & Qualifications
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Law, International Management, Engineering or a related discipline.
- An MBA or other postgraduate qualification is considered an advantage.
- Equivalent professional experience with a proven track record in commercial development, partnerships or transaction-related environments will also be considered.
