Job description

As Management Company Risk Specialist (Asset Management), you will contribute to the continuous enhancement of the company's control, monitoring and governance framework. This position is embedded within a regulated asset management environment and focuses on management company oversight, risk management, internal controls, fund governance and process automation.Working closely with various stakeholders across the organization, you will play a key role in improving processes, strengthening oversight activities and utilizing data more effectively to support decision-making.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Maintaining and further enhancing the Internal Control System (ICS) within a regulated asset management and management company environment
  • Monitoring and assessing the effectiveness of key controls across fund, management company and operational processes
  • Supporting and coordinating Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), including the follow-up of identified findings and remediation measures
  • Monitoring Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and supporting the ongoing oversight of operational and business risks
  • Preparing regular risk and management reporting for senior management, committees and governance bodies
  • Supporting the continued development of the company's operational risk framework, including incident management, risk assessments and control monitoring
  • Contributing to fund oversight activities and supporting the monitoring of fund-related risks and processes
  • Supporting Business Continuity Management (BCM) activities, framework maintenance and periodic testing
  • Identifying opportunities to strengthen controls, improve data quality and increase process transparency across the organization
  • Designing and enhancing automated controls, monitoring tools and reporting processes to improve risk oversight and operational efficiency
  • Applying data analysis and automation techniques to support risk monitoring, control testing and management reporting
  • Collaborating closely with stakeholders across Risk, Compliance, Operations, Fund Management and other business functions

Expected profile

We are looking for a proactive and intellectually curious professional who combines strong analytical skills with a genuine interest in governance, risk oversight, data management and process improvement.

Your qualifications and experience include:
  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Data Analytics or a related field
  • Several years of professional experience within asset management, a fund management company (ManCo), fund administration or a comparable investment-fund environment
  • Experience in risk management, internal controls, operational risk, oversight functions or audit within the asset management or fund industry is considered particularly valuable
  • Professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM or comparable risk-focused certifications are considered a strong advantage
  • Exposure to Swiss and/or Luxembourg fund structures and regulatory frameworks is considered a strong advantage
  • Understanding of governance, oversight and control frameworks within a regulated financial environment
  • Strong interest in data analysis, reporting and process automation
  • Hands-on experience using Python for data analysis, reporting automation, control monitoring or risk-related use cases is required
  • Experience working with larger datasets and developing automated reporting or monitoring solutions is highly desirable
  • Ability to analyse complex datasets and translate findings into actionable business insights
  • Structured, hands-on and solution-oriented working style
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability and willingness to learn
  • Excellent English skills; German is considered an advantage
  • Valid Swiss work permit or EU/EFTA citizenship required
  • Willingness to work 100% on‑site
